FOSS United is a non-profit foundation that aims at promoting and strengthening the Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) ecosystem in India.
Funding and grants
Most FOSS projects and contributions are fruits of passion, almost always delivered as free labour. We have been able to build successful enterprises thanks to the high quality FOSS projects that we have come to admire and love, and we aim to use the resources available to us, and encourage enterprises around us, to give back, not just code, but money. If you are a FOSS developer or project looking for funding, write to us.
Events
We conduct various events encouraging the spirit of hacking and promoting free software across the country. FOSS monthly meetups, the IndiaFOSS conference, and FOSS Hack to name a few.
